The Civil Service Commission-Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (CSC-BSP) Field Office awarded the Certificate of Registration of the Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) to the Central Board of Assessment Appeals Employees’ Association (CBAA-EA) in a simple ceremony held last 26 February 2018 at the CBAA Conference Room, 7th Floor, EDPC Bldg., BSP Complex, Roxas Boulevard, Manila.
CSC-BSP Field Office Director II May Antonette D. Arriola handed over the original Certificate of Registration to CBAA-EA President Elmer Nev C. Valenzuela in the presence of CBAA Chairperson Manuel D.J. Siayngco, Commissioner Thelma A. Mariano, CBAA-EA officers and members.
In her message, Director Arriolacommended both the CBAA and the CBAA-EA for the efforts in coming up with a CNA which would pave the way for a harmonious working relationship between the Agency and the employees’ association.
She also mentioned CSC’s #MALASAKITism advocacy which is consistent with the Commission’s vision of becoming globally recognized as a center of excellence for strategic Human Resource and Organization Development. For her, malasakit is not just having sincere concern and care for others, but more of having compassion with action in public service. Having said that, she challenged the CBAA-EA to be servant heroes (lingkod-bayani)guided by the principles of #MALASAKITism as it is the driver for productivity, teamwork, development, positive relationships and prudence. She also encouraged everyone to create a culture of malasakit not just in CBAA, but also in the whole bureaucracy.

CBAA-EA President Elmer Nev C. Valenzuela ended the program through a short message extending his gratitude to DirectorArriola, Chairperson Siayngco, Commissioner Mariano and all CBAA-EA officers and members for the success of the CNA. He looks forward to the members’ full cooperation, initiative and malasakit.
Lastly, in response to Director Arriola’s challenge on the improvement of the #MALASAKITism advocacy of CSC, President Valenzuela proposed that #MalasakitOverload will be CBAA and CBAA-EA’s mantra for public service.
